Our Schauer Brut 2017 is a Blanc de Blancs (95% Chardonnay/Morillon & 5% Pinot Blanc). After almost 6 years on the lees, our sparkling wine demonstrates its very expressive character: salty, with a wonderful creaminess and a perfectly contrasting grapefruit flavour with a very fine perlage.

This sparkling wine comes from our preferred vineyards within the traditional wine-growing village of Kitzeck im Sausal. With its altitude and unique slate soils, the village of "Kitzeck-Sausal" offers great conditions for growing wine. The grapes for our Schauer-Brut ferment and mature in used oak barrels for at least 12 months. This is followed by a second fermentation in the bottle (traditional bottle fermentation) and 71 months of ageing on the lees. Dosage: 2g/litre
